About Erica

Erica Weber

I have a true passion for helping others overcome their obstacles and find fulfillment in their lives. In this day and age, it’s very common to deal with a multitude of stressors at any given time. I aim to help individuals and couples learn more about themselves and practice effective techniques to confidently move forward in a more joyful and rewarding life.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of New Jersey and New York. I received a Master’s degree in clinical social work from Hunter College, with a concentration in the Mental Health/Health field, majoring in work with individuals and couples.

I specialize in helping individuals dealing with stress and anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, problems at work, social issues and difficult life transitions, maternal mental health and parenting issues such as infertility, loss and postpartum disorders, as well as relationship challenges.

The Psychotherapy Experience

My treatment approach focuses on you and on your unique and specific needs. Our work together may include aspects of cognitive behavioral therapy, supportive and strengths-based therapy. We may also incorporate mindfulness and meditative techniques to reduce your stress level and increase enjoyment in your daily life.

My therapy sessions are designed to help you better understand your feelings, thoughts and actions. Gaining this deeper appreciation for yourself can allow you to elicit change in your life and move forward with confidence.

I strive to create a safe and supportive environment so you can feel comfortable examining your life and exploring the best possible solutions. It’s my goal to ensure that your therapeutic experience feels as natural and as non-intimidating as possible. While my therapeutic approach is warm, empathic and authentic, the space between us is fully about you and your needs. Rather than feeling that you are engaging in a solely one-sided experience, we will engage in an exchange throughout our sessions.

In addition to having a comfortable and safe space to open up about your thoughts and feelings, you will also be gently and appropriately challenged when necessary, allowing you to gain the awareness, accountability, insight and skillset to successfully achieve the personal and emotional growth that you are striving for.

Get Started On A Rewarding Path

The foundation of successful psychotherapy is finding an experienced clinician who you feel fully engaged and comfortable with. This is why I provide a free, 20-minute phone consultation, so that you may determine for yourself whether I may be the right therapist for you. Please feel free to contact me at (908) 458-0462 so that together, we can move you one step closer to achieving your goals and happiness.

I look forward to meeting you and in helping you on the journey to improved confidence, decreased anxiety, healthier relationships and an overall enhanced sense of peace.

Fees and Insurance

Do you take my insurance?

I am an out-of-network provider, meaning that I do not accept insurance and do not bill insurance directly. Instead, I will give you a receipt that you may submit to your insurance company for any out-of-network benefits of which you might be entitled. If you do not receive any out-of-network benefits, or if you prefer to pay privately, we may discuss the option of a sliding-scale fee.

How do you handle payments?

Payment is due at the end of each session.  I accept credit cards, check and cash payments.

Explanation of Out-of-Network Mental Health Benefits:

Many people are eligible to receive out-of-network mental health benefits through their insurance providers. In this case, I would be able to provide you with a receipt following our session that you may then submit to your insurance company. Full payment would be due at the end of our session and you would then submit the receipt and collect reimbursement directly from your insurance provider.

As I am unable to verify coverage or guarantee that you will be reimbursed for my services, it is important for you to clarify and confirm out-of-network benefits for your mental health expenses with your Insurance provider.

In order to determine whether or not you have out-of-network mental health benefits with your insurance company, there are some standard questions, which you may like to review with them:

-       Do I have any out-of-network mental health benefits with my current plan?

-       If so, how much does my plan cover for an out-of-network mental health provider?

-       Do I have a deductible for my out-of-network mental health services before I may receive any reimbursement?

-       If I do receive such benefits, how can I go about submitting such claims for my reimbursement (where should they be sent)?

-       Are there any limits on these benefits?

-       What information will you need from my out-of-network provider?

-       Do I need to obtain any authorization before submitting a claim? If so, how do I go about that?

Cancellations or failure to show up for Appointments:

Please allow at least 24 hours advanced notice prior to cancelling an appointment.

Failure to give 24 hours notice or to show up for an appointment altogether will result in a charge equivalent to one’s regular session fee. This is an out of pocket expense that insurance carriers will not reimburse for.
